FORM 8109-FEDERAL TAX DEPOSIT COUPONS
The Internal Revenue Service has issued proposed regulations which will eliminate the use of paper-based federal tax deposit coupons after December 31, 2010.

FUTA TAX INCREASE
The Obama administration's budget proposal calls for an increase in the wage base for the Federal Unemployement Tax Act (FUTA) paid by EMPLOYERS. The wage base will more than double to $15,000.00 increaseing the amount paid per employee to $120.00 from $54.00. It will take place in 2014 if passed.
FUTA RATE INCREASES RETRO TO 1/1/2009 to 1.1%
Michigan employers can expect to see 2 more rate increases on their FUTA taxes. FUTA will increase to 1.4% in 2010, and 1.7% in 2011.
